Catholic Central worked with Rockford to create a new football stadium with a capacity of 10,000 spectators. The new complex has two team meeting rooms, locker rooms, a coaching room, varsity track, grotto, memorial garden and practice field. Athletic venues often require highly-specialized trade contractor work. Rockford pulled in a number of special teams to complete quality work in time for the season opener. Turf specialists installed two Astro-turf football fields and a practice field. Masons were crucial to the quality craftsmanship of the school’s grotto. AV/electrical experts made sure the videoboards and scoreboards would be working for game day, and it took a highly-trained team to pour concrete retaining walls around the field through a harsh winter.
