21st-century Learning brings the best of technology and innovative teaching methods together to meet the educational demands of a changing world. Grand Rapids Christian High School’s renovation brought an innovative design in support of instruction for 21st Century Learning, emphasizing collaboration, teamwork and creative problem solving.
The 165,000 sq. ft. school was renovated to create a new media center, classrooms, community space and an open dining space. A new, 26,000 sq. ft. science wing was added, which features includes seven biology, physiology, and chemistry laboratories and laboratory preparation rooms. Both the math and the science areas of the school have their own breakout spaces, support areas and a department commons.
