The project consisted of three separate areas including an office renovation, a R&D test cell build-out and a fitness center build-out. The project presented schedule challenges as the office renovation had to be completed first, enabling Kawasaki to move out of their temporary office space on time. The R&D test cell fit-out ran concurrently with the office renovations, and completion of the MEP systems allowed for R&D equipment installation and commissioning to bring equipment online. There were two separate equipment moves from their existing facility in Maryville, MO to Grand Rapids, MI and test cells had to be made ready in advance to receive the equipment. The project also included a fuel delivery system that feeds each of the test cells, as well as an interior fuel dispensing room to allow Kawasaki the ability to fuel equipment inside the building. The fuel delivery/dispensing system helps to keep Kawasaki more efficient during their testing procedures.
