Rockford partnered with MCPc, a technology logistics and data security firm, on the build-out of a new 60,000 sq. ft. facility on the southeast side of Grand Rapids. The project, led in conjunction with Amplify GR — a nonprofit committed to strengthening neighborhoods in southeast Grand Rapids — will mobilize the local economy. Roughly 75 to 100 were created for the Madison Square neighborhood as MCPc built its team by hiring from the local community. Similarly, Rockford committed to hiring underrepresented local trade contractors during the construction process. The project included significant environmental remediation efforts. When the previous building onsite was demolished, Rockford recycled as much material as possible. Our team crushed approximately 20,000 tons of concrete for reuse and recycling during demolition, with metal recycling exceeding 1,500 tons. The project yielded a 90% recycling rate.
