The rich details and original features of New Hotel Mertens tell the important story of the building's history and resilience. Originally opened in 1914, the first-floor space now functions as a 125-seat French brasserie where guests can enjoy traditional French cuisine with a contemporary twist. To honor the owner's vision of maintaining the original design and historical quality, Rockford's Self-Perform Trades team preserved and showcased many of the space's historical details such as the exposed brick and beams. The 9th floor of the mixed-use building also boasts New Hotel Mertens Haute Rooftop Lounge offering spectacular views of the city.
