Rockford partnered with ICCF Community Homes on Stockbridge Apartments to ensure that Grand Rapids' West Side has access to affordable living spaces within the heart of the community. The five-story development features 64 apartments with 51 units reserved for income-qualified households and 13 units provided at market rate. Unit types range from studios to three-bedroom apartments. 15 of the apartments are supported through Project Based Vouchers issued by the Grand Rapids Housing Commission. Residents enjoy a community space, exercise room and children's room as part of the finished project. Stockbridge Apartments also includes 10,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial space along Stocking Avenue as well as the new Stockbridge Meijer Express gas station and convenience store.
