In order to meet the growing demand for nursing and other health professions, Southwestern Michigan College contracted Rockford to complete a renovation and addition to its Nursing and Health Education Building. The addition doubled the existing space and provided much needed updating to accommodate new health instruction technologies. The space houses nine classrooms, including two, eight-bed skills labs, a four-bed nursing simulation lab, three debriefing rooms, a dedicated medical assisting classroom and a new CNA classroom. There is also a flexible student lounge area with workspaces for collaboration or private study, in addition to a new faculty area.
